The ICCTA Tour Guide ID provides professional recognition for independent tour guides specialising in Ireland-China tourism and culture.

Who it's for:

• Ireland based professional guides

• Holders of recognised guiding qualifications

• Guides with online presence (website/Facebook/LinkedIn/Xiaohongshu/Douyin/etcs)

• Guides with Ireland-China guiding experience

Can freelance guides apply?

Yes, freelance guides are welcome to apply! We encourage experienced individuals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge of Irish and Chinese cultures to join our network.

What are the fees and validity for membership?

Annual Membership Fee: €220

Includes: ID card production, processing, delivery

Valid: 1 January – 31 December each year

When will I hear back?

Responses may take up to 14 days, or longer during peak season.

Is this a government licence?

No, the Ireland China Culture and Tourism Association (ICCTA) is a non-profit organization and does not operate under a government license. Our mission is to promote cultural and tourism exchanges between Ireland and China through events, workshops, and partnerships.

What if my application is declined?

If your application is declined, we encourage you to reach out to our team for feedback on the decision. We provide constructive feedback and guidance to help improve your future applications.
